Phase Capacitors can be found at the Sallow Man's camp, inside the academy rooms (one is inside the storage room, another on a master's corpse in the library, and one in a cabinet in the library), and on automatons in the various temples on Nameless Isle. These Phase Capacitors mimick the effect of a lightning spell that never ends, so while you can cast a lightning spell to light up the square, it won't last very long to do you any good. Simply put, you will have to drop Phase Capacitors on the 3 lightning squares, one of which is at the Teacher's hall, shown in the above picture. Below are some pictures to help guide you. In order to lift the barrier, you will need to activate all three lightning squares in front of it. To move on ahead, however, you will need to remove the barrier blocking your progress. (you can get there through teleporation near the source pool, or open the door by activating the switch in following order: switch on the floor (not visible by alt-item-vision), switch on the east wall, tablet near desk on the south east, lastly lever to the right of the door) Cast Spirit Vision and speak to ghost of Taryan Graye, her lover's spirit can be found in forbidden library. There is a quest Unscholarly Pursuits in the library. You can also receive a quest here by speaking to the spirit of Taryan Graye. Simply cast Spirit Vision and talk to them to learn what happened here. Be wary of traps here, but follow it through the end for an easy 30,100 Exploration XP.īy heading right into the Teacher's hall, and then forward, you will reach the Library, which has many spirits you can talk to. All you have to do is stand close to the wall, and use a teleporting skill to teleport over the blocked wall, then activate the lever to remove the blocked wall for the rest of your party to move through. Lastly, there is a seemingly blocked wall that has a lever behind it. First, there is a locked door here that leads to a portal for the " Proving Ground" quest, which grants good XP and loot. It is also worth noting that in this Teacher's hall, there are 2 "secret" places you can get into for additional XP.

People need time to file in and do coat check once the doors open, and stage crew needs time to transition from opening to main act Not sure what everyone is complaining about with the waiting and delays though, it was more or less what I've come to expect from concerts. I wish she interacted with the crowd a little bit more between songs. She played all of my favourite songs off her album PEP, as well as a solid selection of her past songs. The opening act with Tynomi Banks really got the crowd amped up for Lights, who came on stage full of energy and ready to rock the house with a straight 2 hours of hits. Rating: 5 out of 5 Cured my seasonal depression! by Datway on.Lights is the best live show I’ve ever seen. Rating: 5 out of 5 Perfect valentines day by Ash on Maxwell's - Waterloo.Very cool concert had lots of fun! Lights was awesome! Loved every song, her voice is □❤️□□□ Rating: 5 out of 5 Amazing V-day concert by Lights in Waterloo by Jus on Maxwell's - Waterloo.terrible planning, direction and crowd control, the whole crowd was great given the circumstance but it's like they haven't had a concert there before extremely unprepared. Great concert as always, she's always great with the crowd and gets better everytime! Was definitely one of the best Ottawa concerts i've been to, the crowd wasn't totally boring like usual, i came out of it with ringing eardrums ! The only downside was that it was my first time at bronson centre, and this place is horrible. Rating: 4 out of 5 Great concert ! by Matt on Bronson Centre - Ottawa. She put on such an amazing show and I’ll never get tired of hearing all the PEP songs they’re so good and seeing/hearing her perform them live is a whole other level. It felt intimate and you could see her clear as day from the back. Second, the venue was smaller capacity wise but that’s what made this show so cool and special. Lights killed it yet again! Every show I’ve gone to she slays BUT this show was honestly dope! First off it’d been years since she played Hamilton so it was enjoyable being able to see her in my hometown. FUN!! by oblivioncat on Bridgeworks - Hamilton She should do a another show in Ottawa I'll definitely go She's playing instruments live and does song every song perfectly keeping the crowd so entertained. Lights is definitely one of the best Popstar in Canada, next to Marie Mai, Charlotte Cardin and others. She puts on a really good show, and the tickets are affordable! Sings a lot of her old stuff too Rating: 5 out of 5 Amazing by Karnstein on Coors Event Centre - Saskatoon. Now, she captivates like never before, kickstarting a new era with single “Prodigal Daughter.” She has sold out tours on multiple continents and powered collaborations with Travis Barker, deadmau5, Kaskade, Steve Aoki, Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, and more. Over the course of career thus far, the Canada-born disruptor has garnered four JUNO Awards, including 2020’s “Dance Recording of the Year” for the platinum smash “Love Me” with Felix Cartal and “Pop Album of the Year” for her previous two albums, Skin&Earth and Little Machines. It’s why her shadow over alternative music and culture continues to grow with streams in the hundreds of millions and widespread critical acclaim. She speaks her heart musically and her mind lyrically. Weaving in and out of alternative, indie, electronic, and dance, she makes manic pop irreverent of boundaries, yet reverent of truth. She’s also unabashedly honest and unapologetically confident. Lights is many things all at once: Singer. No formalized principles exist for creating “timeless” digital interfaces, not surprising in an industry run on the motto of “move fast and break things.” But if there were guiding principles, they ought to be universal, tech-adaptive, simple, and pragmatic. Whether deliberate foresight or a limitation of the graphics capabilities at the time, the glimpses of the interfaces ring authentic to this day. It took another four decades until Apple ditched skeuomorphism and followed suit. The film’s concept interfaces featured something akin to a flat design aesthetic. Takeaway: Sustainable businesses make for sustainable products. Among today’s makers of digital products, it’s rare to find companies that practice careful decision-making or refuse to chase after every new trend. Their dedication to sustainable, long-term products is reflected in the design of Basecamp 3.ĭesigners can help create products that stand the test of time, but they are powerless if CEOs don’t appreciate products that are designed to age gracefully. Basecamp (2003)īasecamp made its name by going against the Silicon Valley dogma of venture capital funding, exponential growth, and early exits. Takeaway: Simplicity and performance alone can win in the long run. Chrome’s success is a testament to the importance of performance for a great user experience. The understanding of hardware and browser limitations, and striving for that silky smooth 60fps, is what makes digital design fundamentally different from print or industrial design. Google’s major contribution here was making performance a must-have for all digital products going forward. “It becomes a non-motorized opportunity that connects to the spectacular waterfronts and the trail network that we have there,” she said. The city will maintain it in the future as a “recreational bridge” open only for pedestrians and bicyclists, she said. Ricks said the old bridge would remain open during construction. “We want to use this as the way of saying we can have good strong economic development and we can have cleaner air in the process,” said Mayor Bill Peduto, who sponsored the clean construction ordinance while serving as a councilman. Karina Ricks, director of the city’s Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, said new construction equipment is already built with the filters and the requirement would add “minimally,” if anything, to city projects. “Having the city take this proactive and tangible step to reduce air pollution is very important.” “We know that our dirty air makes people sick and shortens lives, and diesel emissions are one of the things contributing to our poor air quality,” she said. Daily Schedule Heavy/Highway Construction. Under the legislation, any construction project funded by the city must follow the guidelines. It will be the first time Pittsburgh is enforcing an ordinance approved by City Council in 2011 that essentially requires contractors to use equipment with particulate filters limiting the amount of diesel emissions. Construction is scheduled to begin in May and be finished by fall of 2020. “I’ll believe it when I see it,” said Allen McKinney, 79, a lifelong Duck Hollow resident.Ĭity officials said the new bridge would cross Nine Mile Run upstream from the railroad bridge. Residents have complained about the problem for years. To reach the McFarren Street Bridge, traffic must pass under a railroad overpass that is too low for large vehicles to pass underneath, including fire trucks and emergency vehicles. The McFarren Street Bridge spanning Nine Mile Run provides the only access to Duck Hollow located along the Monongahela River across from Homestead. The city will require the contractor to abide by a long dormant “clean construction” ordinance. Pittsburgh officials announced plans Thursday for a new $3.2 million bridge accessing the quirky riverfront neighborhood of Duck Hollow. If you’re looking for a free Photoshop alternative, you’ve come to the right place. And at $9.99 per month, Photoshop may not be the best option for many novice photographers. It can also be difficult for beginners to understand. Photoshop is comprehensive image editing and graphic design software, but it takes a lot of space and can slow down your computer. But when I do line-art, I like a pencil effect.Photoshop has been an industry standard for decades, but it’s pricey for those who only use it occasionally – and for those who only use it for basic photo editing. In my case, I don't use a brush for line-art anymore, I just paint-over my sketch. You have to sketch, test by yourself, try many brushes, until you'll find the one that makes it easier for doing what you want to achieve. And the settings are also different for each artists: The one liking to draw long curves for their design will probably stick to brush with a lot of stabilisation, the one who prefers 'nervous' rendering will like hard edges on the shape, etc. Same for line-art: some renderings are smooth, some have opacity variation, some have jittering on the line, some also are pixelated. It's the same as if you ask to a hairdresser in a comment: "What is the best comb?", it will depends of your hair type, and the haircut you expect to sculpt with it. They both have very different pressure curve in comparison to the devices I owned so far. I have now a group dedicated to "details", a group specialized into "glazing", "texturing", etc. I also wanted to them to be organised by group of colors to pick them faster and take better decisions while painting. I selected the one I daily use to fit into two columns on my quadHD monitor. The goal of this list was for me to reduce the selection of the brush to a more compact set. That's because I designed the default brush of Krita and even if my taste evolves a bit, my classic and way to solve problems remains the same. You might find that some of these brushes are similar to official default brush of Krita: their aspect, their usability and their thumbnail design. I collected this way this pack of 38 brushes. We are already past two weeks into the new year, and I wanted to start it with optimizing my new brushes, clean the thumbnails and remove the double. There are many instances where I have been driven to the point of exhaustion from trying to hear, lip-read and focus on even the most mundane activities all at the same time. This can be particularly difficult when lip-reading becomes ineffective – such as when facial hair covers mouths or people mumble – and communication then becomes a tiresome challenge. One of the things most hearing people don’t realise is that hearing aids only amplify sound volume but they do not enhance clarity. Being shy as a consequence of hearing loss, in conjunction with heavy reliance on lip-reading, makes it difficult for me to fully engage in daily conversations. From a young age, I have been highly reliant on lip-reading. I later found out that this had delayed my communication development and made me a very introverted and shy person who takes a while to warm up to people. I had undiagnosed hearing loss until I was in Year One. Jessica initially took up biochemistry in her first year, but soon decided to go with Commerce and combine Accounting and Business Law to gain technical skills, interact and collaborate with more people and get a better understanding about the world of business. She is currently in her last semester majoring in Accounting and Business Law. Jessica was born into an Indonesian family with severe hearing-loss and began wearing hearing aids when she was eight years old. Not letting hearing loss get in the way of learning Business can be a powerful vehicle for positive change, and I want to use my skills to encourage this after I graduate. I believe it’s important to support enterprises that focus on purpose as much as they do profit. After completing two internships through the McCusker Centre for Citizenship, I discovered my passion lies in helping others and giving back to the community. I’d like to apply my business knowledge to the social impact space. Catherine’s Academic Excellence Award in 2017 for having the highest first-year WAM. In 2018, I was the recipient of the Perth Energy Scholarship, for academic excellence in Business at UWA. I’m also on the McCusker Centre Student Advisory Committee. Before this, I was a consultant for the club. I’m the Marketing Director for 180 Degrees Consulting WA. I also try to make the most of the opportunities that UWA provides to prepare students for life outside of uni including internships, volunteering opportunities, work-place learning units, and networking events. Building strong relationships with other students is something that’s been invaluable to my university experience, and UWA fosters a strong community culture which makes it easy to meet new friends. UWA provides so many opportunities for students to meet other like-minded students through events, clubs, societies, and groups. My favourite aspect is definitely the people I’ve met throughout my 3 years of studying. UWA has world-class courses (especially business), students, and opportunities and I feel incredibly fortunate to study here. I went to the UWA Open-Day in 2016 and was mesmerised by the beautiful campus, the people I met, and what it was offering and I decided that day to apply. I’m the first in my family to go to university, so I was initially overwhelmed by the process of choosing where to study. I have also interned at UWA Campus Management through the McCusker Centre and developed a sustainability engagement program for staff, and I still currently work there now as a sustainability intern. I also interned at a social enterprise in India for 3 weeks over this winter break. I went through the CA Achiever Program in 2018 which resulted in an offer for a 2-week Audit and BAS internship with HLB Mann Judd. I also enjoy being able to apply the course content, particularly around strategy, directly to real-world examples. The business school is a great place to study, and I have had third-year lecturers who are incredibly passionate about what they teach which makes the learning experience really enjoyable. I continued to study accounting because of the valuable business and strategy knowledge I learnt through the course which was all applicable to the world around me and the workforce I’m entering into. I chose Accounting initially because I was good with numbers and I wanted to learn more about the inner workings of businesses. I knew I wanted to study business, but I wasn’t sure which area I wanted to specialise in. |
